In my personal art practice, I use both relief and monoprint techniques to interpret traditional expressions and community-based practices, like quilting.
My work is inspired by early American folk art, naive, and raw art.
In 2017 I exhibited a series of large, linocut prints on the subject of “Home”. The show was held at Common Area Maintenance. I created a collection of five large-scale linoblock prints exploring the house quilt block design and its themes. For the show, we created an environmental installation of a large articulating panel shaped like a house with a window that we used to serve drinks through.
